I myself dont really care if my husband talks to his ex's im the one he married. Whats the deal with women getting all pissy when another woman contacts the man?

Im truly puzzled by that, and why do men let them get away with being a regulator?

Here's how I look at it:

My boyfriend has an X who is now just his friend. He loved her and was in love with her. I have no reason to doubt what he feels for her now. Besides, if he went back to her, I obviously wasn't the one for him. Trust. That is the key. He promised me that there would be no other woman in his bed and he has given me no reason to doubt that. Does the thought sometimes cross my mind that he may find another woman? Sure, he is a VERY attractive man and I can personally understand why any woman would be attracted to him, but I don't dwell on it or worry myself over it.

You're on the right path trusting him. Give him that trust and he will love you for it.

I don't think it's insecure. I, myself, would have a problem if my fiance was to keep the lines of communication open with an ex. We both agreed that whomever was an ex was just that, an ex. No need to continue anything whatsoever with them. It just ends up where the boyfriend/girlfriend ends up possibly being put in a situation where someone can say something else is going on. If you can avoid that, why not? Keeping an ex around as a friend, oh noooooooo, BIG NO NO!!

It's not about jealousy. It's about what you consider to be respectful. I don't talk to my ex's because that's what I expect from the person I'm with(unless there's children involved). You just have to be on the same level with the person you're with. If both thinks it's okay, then it's okay. If both thinks it's wrong, then it's wrong. Some consider it being insecure if you don't let your spouse sleep with other people... if you're wouldn't allow this, would you care if other people said you were insecure?
--I definately wouldn't want a woman I'm with to be rude to her ex if they run into each other, just not friends.

There are many reasons why a woman may be getting defensive of their man. You can't ever judge someone or their situation until you have walked in their shoes. I'm not saying that it's right or wrong, just that we all have our own closets.

In a way I bet that they feel threatened by the EX. Don't want to think hey maybe I want to go back to him.

They are insecure, I think so too. Besides, if they want their ex's back, you being possessive is not going to stop anything.

I dont think they are insecure ,when trust is there ,and the person has self-esteem ,it is nice to be like you .but as long as he doesnt take advantage of this and betrays your love.

You're right.

People need to stop being so insecure about everything.

That's one of the reasons for divorce.
