obviously spf 60 is twice as strong as spf 30 but in reality if you use them both properly is there much difference?

Well, you'd have to apply the 30 SPF more often, and the 60 SPF is stronger & will protect you better.

Of course, if they're expired it won't matter either way.

well it all depends on how long you're out in the sun and how sensitive your skin is. The way sunscreen works for example if you burn after 10 minutes without sun tan lotion, if you used spf 10 it would take 10 times as long to burn so it would take you an hour and 40 minutes to brun. Now for people with sensitive skin lets say they burn after 2 minutes, with spf 30 they would burn in an hour, with spf 60 2 hours. Now if your skin is not sensitve and you burn after an hour with out sun tan lotion, than all you would need is spf 10 for all day protection considering it is waterproof and sweat proof. So it all depends on how sensitive you are, hope this wasnt too confusing.

The only difference is the one with the higher SPF allows you to stay in the sun longer without burning. The higher the SPF, the more protection you have from the sun's harmful rays.

if you put the exact same amount of each on 2 different people with the same skin color one will get a little more of a tan & thats the one who wears the SPF 30. so it does make a difference
