why do friends invite you to their siblings' wedding?

Sorry, I've never had that happen. I've only been invited to my best friends sisters wedding because I've known her for years and was pretty much part of the family.

i guess it depends on the friend. if you've known the friend and their sibling all their lives, it's nice. i think it's always an honour to be invited to a wedding, but if you ever feel awkward, you can always respectfully decline.

If you are friends with their siblings and thus they want you to attend..I don't see anything wrong with that. However if you aren't friends with them..I'd say it's because they want someone there that they know aside from family..or the couple wants more gifts.

usually cause you are close or involved in seeing them socially. decline if you feel necessary
