So many opinions. The only one that counts is what the Bible says on the matter.
Resurrection means ' a standing up'. To stand up requires a fleshly body. God gave Jesus a new body after three days. Jesus then lived with his disciples, on the earth, even eating and drinking,[Luke 24;42] for another forty days. Then God returned Jesus back to heaven, as a spiritual being. Flesh and blood bodies cannot exist in heaven.
(1 Corinthians 15:50) However, this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s kingdom, neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

Jesus' second fleshly body was apparently somehow disposed of by God himself , and was never found. It MUST have been fleshly, otherwise Jesus would not have been able to share food and drink. It was not JUST an image that people could see.
As far as Jesus returning, he already has, through his influence. Jesus himself is now King of the Kingdom prayed for at Mathhew 6;9,10, the Lord's Prayer, and his earthly subjects obey his commands. When Armageddon occurs, they will fully benefit. There is simply no point in Jesus returning to the earth a second time. He has already taught us all we need to know. His return is signified by obedience of a group of people who obey him implicitly and will be protected at Armageddon.

(Luke 17:31-35) “On that day let the person that is on the housetop but whose movable things are in the house not come down to pick these up, and the person out in the field, let him likewise not return to the things behind. 32 REMEMBER the wife of Lot. 33 Whoever seeks to keep his soul safe for himself will lose it, but whoever loses it will preserve it alive. 34 I tell YOU, In that night two [men] will be in one bed; the one will be taken along, but the other will be abandoned. 35 There will be two [women] grinding at the same mill; the one will be taken along, but the other will be abandoned.”

(Matthew 24:40-42) Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken along and the other be abandoned; 41 two women will be grinding at the hand mill: one will be taken along and the other be abandoned. 42 Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.

Where have YOU been??? Jesus resurrected some 2000 years ago! He got a cool Resurrection body at that time, too. But for aesthetic reasons and to remind people of what He did for us, the scars of His crucifixion will still be visible when He returns.

Jesus was the first resurrection and when he returns again he will appear in the same body that he revealed to his apostles after his resurrection--nail prints and spear slice included. He will show this same body to the Jews for a very real reason.

As others have reported the following, it wasn't an similar body. It replaced right into a clean incorruptible body. observe that once his resurrection, he can look by wonder contained in the approach a room and disappear to boot, an ability which he did not show previous to his lack of existence. on the different hand, he replaced into waiting to eat, so his body replaced into not ghostly - it replaced right into a actual body. of route, in case you do not settle for the Biblical account you received't settle for any of this. i'm purely pointing out what's recorded contained in the recent testomony list.

He is Resurrected!! He is Ascended!! He shall come again!!

When He rose, it was with the same Body which had been laid in the Grave. "He took again His body, with all things that appertain to our Salvation" [Methodist doctrine].

When He rose, it was with the same body, but the body was no longer the same. It had been changed, It had been glorified. Now it could enter rooms where the doors were locked. It no longer had the usual limitations of a physical body.

When He ascended, the Disciples saw Him ascend, in His resurrection Body. They saw him ascend literally, physically, visibly. Then two stood by them and said unto them "this same Jesus shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven". He shall come, literally, physically, visibly, in His same Resurrection Body and His feet shall stand in that day on the Mount of Olives the a great earthquake shall split the Mount in the midst thereof.

===========================

And, NO, we do NOT "make it up" as we go along. We read the BOOK.

Jesus, as said above, was already resurrected. He is in a perfected body, like his Father; however, he has temporarily kept the marks of the crucifixion so others can recognize Him.

He has already Resurrected and he has basically the same body (remember that Thomas didn't believe until he put his finger in his side and his hands?) His body is glorified though. As to what exactly that means I don't know, maybe just shiny with light.

No, because in Islam, he was never considered dead at the cross. Just before they crucified the "body", Jesus' soul was lifted to heaven and another soul was replaced. Do you really think God would make him suffer such a humiliating death?
So according to Islam, he will descend down the Earth when the time comes after the Anti-Christ (Dajjal in Arabic) appears, in the body in which he was in. Period.

He already has His Resurrected Body. It is my understanding at the time of this question that He is the only one in Heaven that has received His Resurrected Body, but we will all get ours very very soon. Perhaps at the Rapture

He was in his Glorified body on earth, after the Resurrection.
He said at the tomb, touch me not I have not yet ascended to the Father.
Then later he walked through walls, appeared and disappeared
He went into Heaven while here on earth and came back and walked on earth, yet he eat fish.
Flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven
He is in Heaven now, and will come back in his Glorified state as he ascended
