I have for awhile and really havent known where to turn, or what to do. I actually really dont believe in psychics, and am kind of scared of it.

You should nurture it. You are gifted and you can use it for good.
I don't know if I am psychic, but it seemed that if someone I know or related to someone I know dies, I would have this unexplainable dream. This happened numerous times I didn't want to keep a diary anymore because I am sick of it.
They were not nightmares, but for days I could remember how dark and weird the dreams were!

I believe we are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense. The Psychic Sense.

Best book for you is "The art and practice of astral projection" by Ophiel. His book teaches control. Good luck. If you don't believe in it it will go away. Psychic tendencies must be nurtured to grow and live. If you ignore it, it goes away very fast.

Mary Ellen, are you a teenager? Many teen aged girls go through this phenomena. I did, my sisters did, and my daughter did. Eventually we grew out of it. We called it gaining our woman's intuition. Having dreams that come true, and feelings of deja vu, or knowing what's about to happen, are all a part of this experience. Don't be afraid of it. Embrace it. For, unless you are a true psychic, it will leave you before you know it.
