I went into my computer and uninstalled it, shut it down a couple of times, but the icon remains and this window keeps popping up. AAAARRRRGGGGGG!!!!! It tells me my computer is infected and its recommended to use special antispyware tools to prevent data loss. It then says windows will now download and install the most up to date antispyware for me. How do I get this off? HELP!

Okay, well there are a few ways to do this.

I'm not sure if when you said you tried to uninstall it whether or not you went into Add/Remove programs? you get here by going to the control panel and from there clicking add/remove programs. Then you remove it. If that didn't work you can try one thing that might work...

The program will probably be installed in your program files. So open up my computer, go to C:/ From there click program files. Then go to the company name (or the program name) folder. Once you find it, highlight the folder and delete it. This won't be as clean of a download as the first option but it should stop the program from working since you deleted the files.

I would recommend option 1, but since you said that didn't work this is the only other option I know of.

I hope this helps you (btw, what is the name of the program?)

You could try Spybot. Install that one and it might clear your other problem
