There is nothing wrong with the celebration of marriage. It is a hard job today, being married. It takes alot of effort and patience. Love helped you conquer all the bad. So now that things are better for you, go ahead and be proud of what you have accomplished together. Show everyone you love each other no matter what. You did not get to have a great wedding, so have a great 10th anniversary. Just stick to a budget, and stick to what you want. Don't let anyone stop you from celebrating.

Since it is still 4 years away, I would see what happens in the meantime.
If you are thinking of walking down the aisle in a white gown and making a big thing of it, that would be tacky!
What would be okay, would be to have a very small renewal of the vows with just close family and a few close friends-----then throw a big 10th anniversary party for however many you want! Do not do a sit down dinner! Keep the food simple, & have a buffet---that would keep the cost down, and yet you could still have a nice party.
We went to a wedding like that last summer. The wedding was at 3 for just the family, and at 5 was the party. Very nice and a lot of fun.

I kind of think what is the point now. I mean, you are married and that's all that matters. Save your money for your children college funds. Having a big wedding now after all this time is kind of pointless since you are already married and have children together. Here is another suggestion instead of a big wedding, use the money and get away from the kids, family, enlaws ect. ect.and go on a cruise together. 10 year wedding with vows is a NO-NO. Go against all odds and see if you make it to your 50th Golden Anniversary and say your vows then. If you two are still married then, that will be special seeing how most marriages end in divorce. To say your vows at your 50th Anniversary will be more meaningfull and special because you lasted together all those years.

There's nothing wrong with celebrating your 10th anniversary, but don't redo it like a wedding! Just have a simple renewal of vows and blessing, then a dinner at your home for close family and friends.
Oh, just read, and you are not married 10 years yet -- wait and see what happens til then....

It's not a waste on money to show your love for each other and saying your vows. What's a better way to proclaim your love for one another again through everything that has happened love is back between you two. If you are near a beach, renew there at sunset. Thats romantic. Believe me I have planned that.

Personally I think it is a very romantic and lovely way to celebrate a 10 year anniversary. Plus the kids would be able to witness the love that all kids need to she shared between their parents. I'd say go for it and good luck.

Not tacky at all. I think its real sweet, as long as its not a big production. Go to vegas, and invite your closest family and friends and have a good time.
