NFP is also the least reliable form of contraception--it's a backup at best. So surprise surprise, you and other religious people support that.

Spilling your seed is not against any command in the Bible. Birth control is not immoral if both husband and wife consent to it.

The only reference to it is Onan. Onan was supposed to marry his brother's barren widow. he had sex with her and pulled out spilling his seed to deprive her and his deceased brother of a possible son in his name.

If you read in the old law, when a man left a barren widow, one of his brothers was to marry her and if a male child was born it was to be named after the deceased brother, so that his name would live on. The sin was not
spilling his seed, it was defrauding a widow and his own brother of what was rightfully theirs.

Onanism is a fabrication of the Catholic Church...even goes so far as to tell rape victims that they can't spill the rapist's seed.

It is not OK to use contraception. Not because it is "spilling your seed" but because it interrupts the normal flow of life.

My, me, it's nice to be Wiccan and not have to worry about being condemned forever and ever and ever because my husband pulls out every now and then!

To answer your question, is it pulling out that's bad, or the fact that the dude in the Bible did it spitefully to cheat his brother out of a son?

Why limit your question to protestants only? There are way more catholics using condoms and birth control methods than protestants.
