sounds like a pinched nerve like sciatica. I have problems with sciatica right now as a matter of fact. It is not excruciating this time but if I don't take it easy it will get worse.try moist heat several times a day for 20 minutes each time, while sleeping put a pillow between you legs (Knees) while sleeping on your side and a pillow under your knees while sleeping on your back,it reduces the pressure also take 600 to 800 mg of ibuprofen. Good luck

I have the same problem and I thought at first it was kidney infection... I found out from the doctor that it wasn't... I was told that it was probably a pinched nerve or from over-using muscle's I hadn't used in a long time in my lower back area...

i feel it could be a pinched nerve, i seem to have the same problem but mine is in my shoulder blade. i went to the doc. and he gave me norproxin for the pain. other than that i live with the constant pain, or you can go to a chiro, but i feel that once you start you cant stop, and insurance only pays so many visits, so be careful there. good luck with the pain.
