If we try to think which not out concern, we would astray from our course. And most probabily we will loos our destination as well.
God is creatore and we are creation. We should act as God want us to perfrm.
“For what purpose am I here on earth?”
“Why did God create man?”
“What caused God to create human beings?”
Humans most often turn to other human beings like themselves for the answers. However, the only place that clear and precise answers to these questions can be found is in the books of divine revelation. It was necessary that God reveal the purpose to man through His prophets, because human beings are incapable of arriving at the correct answers by themselves. All of the prophets of God taught their followers the answers to the question “Why did God create man?”
According to Islam, there has been a basic message which God has revealed through all prophets, from the time of Adam to the last of the prophets, Muhammad, may God praise them all. All the prophets sent by God came with the same essential message:
“Indeed, We have sent a messenger to every nation (saying), ‘Worship God and avoid false gods.’” (Quran 16:36)
Islam is the response to humanity’s search for meaning. The purpose of creation for all men and women for all times has been one: to know and worship God.
“I did not create the jinn and mankind except for My worship.” (Quran 51:56)
What is Worship?
‘Islam’ means ‘submission’, and worship, in Islam, means ‘obedient submission to the will of God.’
Every created being ‘submits’ to the Creator by following the physical laws created by God,
“To Him belongs whosoever is in the heavens and the earth; all obey His will.” (Quran 30:26)

He drew a plan with billions of years time frame. Everything happened, is happening and will happen, are all written in this plan. Then He prepared contingency plans with billions of years time frame and started creating everything according to plan.
Sounds like very busy being especially with only Sundays to rest.

...It's silly for the finite to speculate about the Infinite Creator God's activities and whereabouts - even if you were able to know, what good would it do you? I believe your question is irrelevant.
...Human beings are morally responsible to God, not vice versa. He owes none of us any explanantions. The Bible does say that one day we will know, as we have been known.
...He also says in Romans 14:11-12, that every knee shall bow to Him, and everyone shall give account of Himself to God.
...A better question is what is He doing now, and what does He expect of you and me? He says to change your mind and believe the Gospel - to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
...I do wish you a blessed eternity - I strongly urge you to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved (Acts 16:31).
...Whosoever will, may come.

maybe this isn't the first time around ? Maybe he was just bored that 's why he started this mess in the first place . but he was certainly doing something because every religios Scripture described him as having angels and arch angels so they must have been doing something . maybe he's just a time traveler for whom there is no before and after ? :D

"And worlds without number have I created; and I also created them for mine own purpose; and by the Son I created them, which is mine Only Begotten."
(Moses 1:33, the Pearl of Great Price)
The Lord stayed busy long before the decision was made to create this earth.
