For about the past week I have been very, very hungry and thirsty. I have also had to go to the restroom quite often. Also, I have been completely exhausted, it doesn't matter how much sleep I get. I am also very cold and I have a weird "buzzing" tingling feeling in my face, chest, fingers, and legs. I really don't know whats wrong with me. I am concerned it might be diabetes, but I don't know. I hate it because whenever I go to the DR, there is never anything wrong, so then why do I feel weird? Please, if you have a thoughtful answer I'd REALLY appreciate hearing from you. TY!

I am 5'10 and 190lbs, I am an athlete and a coach. But lately I have just been too tired to exercise.

It does sound very suspicious for diabetes. Have you had a sugar tolerance test? Ask for one. If it comes out normal, it could be a result of poor diet causing fluctuating levels of sugar (instead of a problem with your body).

As a teenager, I had similar problems, the buzzing and tingling would come right before I fainted. Turns out, my diet had way too much sugar and carbs and I went too long in between meals. If all tests continue to be normal, examine your diet.

With all due respect to "Alt Doc", please do not go on a fruit/vegetable diet. If you are diabetic that could be harmful as the sugars in the fruit could be excessive.

I have recently been diagnosed as being diabetic. The doctor has to take two fasting blood sugar tests within about 2 weeks of each other, with both readings being in excess of 126.

Rather than jumping to conclusions, please go to the doctor, describe your symptoms and allow the doctor to order any labwork they may deem necessary. If you can, make a morning appointment so you can go "fasting" (nothing but plain water for 12 hours prior to the appointment) so the lab work will not need to be delayed.

Insist on a diagnosis and don't let the doctor just fluff this off. This is a serious combination of symptoms to have come on so suddenly. Do not ignore your body, it is trying to tell you something.

God bless you and your health.

You don't mention your weight, but the first thought I would have if you came into my office with these complaints is that you might have diabetes. If you are somewhat overweight, find that you are now losing weight, can't ever quench your thirst and are eating everything in sight, you meet the classic triad for overt Type II diabetes. I would need more information on your age, height and weight to make a better guess. Your other symptoms could be the result of stress, but as I say, you haven't provided enough information for a good diagnosis.

Hi Golf Girl

Main thing to do is get more nutrion. Eat fruits and vegetables only for the next 3-5 days (a lot of them, juice them if possible). Drink a lot of water and I guarantee you'll feel like a new person quickly. Also do a colon cleanse to clean out the toxins that are sitting in your system and get in the blood and cause all kinds of issues. Do some exercise to stop the stress youre putting yourself through.

Best of health to you

Did you know that over 80% of all diseases are caused by blockages in the bowels? If you go to this website you might find some one there who not only knows what your problem is, but how help yourself cure yourself using their herbs(the freshest you can get anywhere in this nation). I urge you to go there soon and learn how to save your life. I did 11 years ago and now I am as healthy as I have ever been. And I haven't been sick in 11 years either. Go to herbdoc.com, greatest healing site in existance in my opinion and about a half a million other peoples opinion too.

Your symptoms seem to point to diabetes. A blood test should provide a better answer. Try another doctor if you feel that you need a second opinion. Keep track of your diet. That may provide some answers for your doctor.

It does sound like diabetes, but there are many things that could be causing all of it, including anxiety. The most important thing is to go to your doctor, or if the one you go to now isn't getting anywhere, choose another one. But you do need medical attention. Good Luck!!!!!

Sure sounds like diabetes to me, but it could be other things as well.

Before you go to the doctor. Keep a journal of your symptoms, activities, and what you eat and when. Not only will some patterns emerge for you, but you will be able to give the doctor information that will help him/her diagnose you better.

Have they ordered a fasting blood sugar?

If your doctor will not listen, get another doctor. It is your life and your health. Take charge of it.

Sounds a lot like diabetes. my mom has it and had a lot of those symptoms. if you don't feel like going to the Doctor and making youreself feel dumb for nothing being wrong, you could always go to the store and buy one of those fingerprick test kits and test your blood sugar when you wake up, after meals, etc. If it is about 80-110 when you wake up or above 180 after meals, i would go to the doctor. But the kits are like 20 bucks and you could save yourself the drip to the doctor, and their tests by doing them yourself.
