Soap (the antibacterial kind) and water should do the trick. If you take the piercing out, it can close up and trap all the nasty infection in, then you will have a problem. You can go to a piercing salon and buy some sea salt (the salt or the spray) and use that according to the direction. Ear lobe infections are pretty easy to clear up. Wash it a couple times a day, should go away pretty soon. You can put neosporin on it too. Just don't use alcohol or betadine, as these can "eat" the healing flesh, then it just won't heal.

sorry but you need to take the earing out and put peroxide on it and allow it to heal (a couple weeks) then start over with the one that was infected. Or maybe just keep putting peroxide on the infected one and see if the infection goes away in a few days.

iodine is best. I used it for all of my peircings and never had a problem. i have had infections get worse with peroxide and alcohol. plus alcohol will heal/close up your earring holes.. iodine draws out the infection. also use a stud instead of a hoop until its healed. less bacteria getting in with a stud. hoops move constantly and trap bacteria all the way around the hoop in result will land you more bacteria in your fresh ear peircing..

soak your ear in a mixture of sea salt and warm water. every so often through out the day, rotate the piercing. soak in only sea salt and warm water 3 x a day. anything else will upset the ph balance of the new hole.

Do you have a hoop in it? What I did when mine got infected was when I took a shower I used a mild soap and warm water and I would clean it that way and then afterwards I would use B and D ointment.

go to the place you got it done and buy their cleaning medicine. and take your earing out and let it soak a couple minutes in a dixy cup or bathroom cup or something while you clean the outside or your ears...do it regulary and you will cure and prevent another infection.
