OReilly over dramatizes the situation for the sake of ratings.
There was not "War on Christmas." but the "PC police" were trying to act like people should say "Merry Christmas" in public. Jay Leno even joked about it (The PC police)
I'm not a fan of OReilly at all, but the liberals exaggerate his flaws as much as OReilly exaggerated "the War on Christmas"

I might keep shopping and when I do I just might say "and a Merry Festivus to You too". Would that satisfy, cause I do give a crap and does your question have to end with gutter mouth cause you hate Bill O? Ever since they took down the Nativity scene that was in our little town I do think eventually real Christmas will be done away with.

If someone gets arrested at a store for saying "Merry Christmas" I'll get on the War on Christmas band wagon.
I don't give it much thought, as long as the PC police don't break into my house during our Christmas dinner.

And to what end has corporate America done away with Christmas and replaced it with Holiday Sales instead of Christmas Sales?
The Politically Correct BS needs to stop at some point.

A company has the right to advertize how they want. If I choose not to make an assumption about my customer, that's my choice as a businessperson, If I choose to assume that my customers are of a particular (if any) faith, that's my choice too, albeit a narrow-minded one.
And O'Riley is, in fact a moronic douchebag.

RE: O'Reilly, the answer is both.
As for the war on Christmas, if I go to a store on Christmas Eve that wishes me a "Merry Christmas," does that mean I don't have to go to Christmas Eve services at church since I already participated in celebrating at the store?

I would continue to shop. But then again, why is the phrase,"Merry Christmas" taboo these days? We're allowed to say, Happy Hannukah, and Happy Kwanza, Happy Chinese New year, and Happy Cinco de Mayo, but no Merry Christmas.....Why?
