I thought I wanted to when I was in high school. But I spent a week out once while I was suspended, and I realized how much I missed the social interaction, and how hanging out with your parents sucks.....

It depends on how much time and effort your parents are gonna put in your education.
My parents are super lazy with my education so I've fallen behind about a year, so home school is not really working for me.
Now I am NOT bashing home scholars and I'm NOT saying all home school parents do this. If you and your mom think home schooling would be better for you then what the heck why not try it, if it doesn't work out you can always go back to school.
Some home school kids are really smart, some public/private school kids are really smart. Some home school kids are average, and some public/private school kids are average. Some home school kids are complete idiots, and some public/private school kids are complete idiots also.
Everyone is different, some learn best in a class room, others at home.
If your sick and you and your mom think home schooling you would be better, go for it.
Good luck!

My opinion it's a good thing. My daughter went there when she too was in 7th grade, she graduated in 2004. I pulled her out of
Jr. High school because a group of girls want to jump her and
at the same time she had an aneurysm and we were afraid they
would hurt or end up killing her, so that is why I pulled her out of the school. The homeschool is what she needed all along her
grades went from A'S,,D'S,F'S, to A'S, B'S,C'S. She was also
able to get a part time job at Wendy's as a cashier/sandwichmaker. So if I were you I would go for it there is
tutors there if you ever need one. They usually have college
students there to help you out if need it or the math teacher is
also there to help you out. Have your Mom check it out.

Well im homeschooled. I got out of public school because the school i was in had 42 drug busts in one day....and well just a huge crime rate. not only that i was in with the "bad" crowd....I miss talking to my friends, but in a way its alot better. You dont have to deal with the pressures of bullys and all that stupid stuff. You can just focus on learning and thats that.....Its helped me. I'm with a GREAT homeschooling course. its called "American School" You get packets to fill out and there is no test taking, and You can earn your degree within 3 years or 4 if neccessary. And the best thing is, you turn in the packets when you feel like it. Theres no due date for n-e thing......its AWSOME!!!

I think home schooling is so wrong. My nieces did it for yrs and I made the parents get them back in school come 7th grade. These are your most important yrs and you can't get them back. You don't have any friends when your home schooled and you learn so much more being in a classroom. Get a tutor but don't stay at home you will miss alot.

If you're too sick to go to school, homeschooling might be best for the time. You won't fall behind. In fact, you might even go beyond your school's curriculum.
Homeschooling can be very helpful. I think it is an amazing education if you put effort into it.
Good luck.

well, you could use a little help with your spelling
I wonder if you will miss your friends, and miss out on team sports, and if you really want to spend that much time with your parents
You think your parents would be good teachers?
You think they could grade you fairly?
I hope you get better either way

I think it is a good thing to do. It would be a wonderful change for you as well. You can still keep in contact with your friends
etc. Good Luck...you may just graduate before any of your friends. Sincerely hope your health improves.

oh yes. homeschooling is the best. :) actually, homeschoolers get higher grades than regular school students. they also are not socially depraved as some people think. i just went to a homeschool dance the other night. homeschooling is good cause you can kind of work at your own speed. good luck!
