Please, have her spayed.
The older she gets, the better her chances are of developing mammary cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer or a pyometra. All of which are horrible to have to diagnose!

Spaying her is the best way to go. Spayed dogs live longer, happier lives, and you don't have to worry about phantom pregnancies, or real pregnancies.
Going through a phantom can't be a great experience, and suppose a real one comes along? You have to make sure that all of her puppies get safe and good homes, take care of your dog during the pregnancy, and the puppies before they are old enough to get new homes for.
It's the best way to go, I don't know why you wouldn't.

I agree with everyone else - take her to the vet. Ask them to check her over and get her spayed. This will avoid a lot of other problems in the future and you need never have to worry about 'accidental' pregnancies, or bloody messes on your carpets!! It's the kindest thing to do for her.

take her to the vet as soon as you can, although she may have a phantom pregnancy, there are other more serious things this could be. only your vet can diagnose this.is you get her spayed this could save you and your Dog a lot of problems in the future, unspayed females are more prone to mammary cancer and womb cancer. I took on a rescued Greyhound on at Christmas last year when I took her to the vet to arraigned spaying we found that she had a number of mammary tumors, thankfully shes over it as they were removed when she was spayed good luck!!!!!

Oh yes, for her sake and your's and ultimately to save money in the long run, please get her treated and spayed.
My Abbey is 11 years old, and spaying has avoided everything from phantom pregnancy to real pregnancy, along with messy periods and having every boy dog in the neigborhood having fits in season.
Also, spaying is a routine procedure with little risks. Your little girl will love you for your kindness!
A great question, and a vote from me!

You should take her to the vet, and have her checked and if she isn;t pregnant then organize for her to be spayed...there are so many unwanted pets out there on verge of the big green needle. You also run the risk of mammary tumours and pyometra, so if she's not top quality breeding material don;t risk it.

If she has had it before I'm sure that you recognise the symptoms correctly. As she is prone to this distressing problem I would say that you have the right idea and should get her spayed. It will put your mind at rest and give her the peaceful life she deserves.

Why not spay? I have had several long-lived perfectly healthy, happy females who were. And a vet friend of mine says it is a way to generally reduce health problems.

If the phantom pregnancy has been confirmed by your vet...maybe he can give you some medication to help ease the symptoms..also while you are there..you need to be arranging when you are going to get her speyed...please...bitches who have not been speyed are at risk from pyometra which is life threatening!

You should probably make sure she doesn't have a tumor, but it doesn;tsound like it. You do need to get her spayed, There are a lot of health problems that can be avoided including breast cancer and cervical cancer. YEs animals can get it too. Not to mention not having unwanted puppies.
