The quality of boxed wines keeps increasing, and with it the price. Many mid-tier wineries are starting to box their wines, like Robert Mondavi. Also, lots of Aussie wines are ending up in boxes.
My personal favorite is the cabernet from Corbett Canyon. Their Chardonnay is pretty good too. You can usually find them for ~$10. Then again, like my wines cheap. For a site with reviews of other boxed wines try http://boxedwinespot.blogspot.com/
I usually finish a box in 2-2 1/2 weeks.
P.S. Stay away from Franzia!!

Not a fan of ANY boxed wine. Perhaps if Chateau Chateau Cheval Blanc boxes their Merlot I will consider it, lol!
