If she is acting ok, she should be fine. Don't let her fall asleep for awhile though, I am no doctor, but i heard it's bad to fall asleep with a concussion. Call your doctor, and ask about a possible head injury.

If she didn't lose consiousness, she is probably ok. Did she fall from a distance? The greater the speed of her head at impact, the greater the chance of serious injury. Did she throw up afterwards? Is she acting normal or too quiet? Crying is normal, sick or groggy is not. If in doubt, call a doc.; meanwhile ice off and on may help.

There have been a number of times my children have hurt themselves and have had a delayed reaction for whatever reason. Anytime a head injury occurs there is reason to be concerned. Check for the following and contact a doctor if these symptoms occur: increased or prolonged swelling at the injury site and/or at the base of the skull, lethargy, persistant headache, uneven pupil size, or fainting. You, as her mother, know your daughter the best and a mother's gut feeling is usually right. Ibuprofen, ice and cuddling go a long way.

i have a 4 year old daughter as well and i'm amazed that we haven't made a trip to the er for stitches yet!!!

kids are pretty tough and even though you might think they've severely injured themselves-chances are they are just fine.

as long as she is acting her normal self (playing, eating, talking, etc) then i wouldn't worry

things to watch for that would require a trip to the er are:

-the bump on her head increases in size
-she begins to complain of a severe headache
-she has nausea or vomiting
-she seems confused, disoriented or overly sleepy

i pretty sure she is just fine and is already back to her playful happy self!!

When i was a kid and I hit my head my mom would make sure we stayed awake for at least 4 hours
If her mark is big u might want to take her to the doctor its better to be safe than sorry

is the table o.k. ? do we need to send the table to the emergency room? these are the questions my mom would have asked me. if the table is o.k. then all is well. hahaha

seriously, though, i do hope she's fine. they have hard heads (in more than one respect). as long as she's not really tired or breathing shallow or puking i wouldn't worry.

that totally depends on how hard your daughters head is. if it still bothers her tomorrow maybe you should seek medical advice
