Quran 60:4 ““(allah instructs) there is for you an excellent example…(abraham’s example) “we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in allah”” http://www.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/060.qmt.html#060.004

In the beggining of this aya (verse) the supposed voice of Allah announces the the following is an "excellent example". Allah then describes a time when Ibrahim declared "hatred" for the unbelievers "unless you believe in Allah".

Do you think this is an excellent example of behavior as the Quran claims? If you do believe this is excellent behavior, I would love to know what you think bad behavior is?

Why does Allah think its excellent to hate people simply because they dont yet believe in his religion? Couldnt Allah have said "but if they had no way to knoweth Allah before the invading Muslims came upon them, then hateth them not, ye may still kill them, but in their ignorance they deserve not you hatred".

I can't even say that I begin to understand this religion or it's teachings but I do know that it is never excellent to hate.

Allah compromises the largest part of religious leaders, as Allah is the same as God is the same as Yahweh. Therefore, he is repeating the second commandment (If I am correct, all three of these religions have the Christian Old Testament in their holy books.) The second commandment states that "thou shalt not worship false gods". Therefore, Abraham is quoting that Allah says to stay away from those who do not worship him. (Or God or Yahweh, whichever is the religion at hand.)

I do not think that this is excellent behavior, as Christian morals dictate that one should observe healthy relationships regardless of religious views. Possibly the Quran and the Muslim ideals are different, but I do not think that what it says is right.

And is it "excellent" to kill people who don't believe in God? Well, it says so in the Bible:

Exodus 22:20: "He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed."

And how about this one?

Exodus 22:18: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." This calls for the execution of all "witches" and it influenced the murder of thousands of inocent women in the Middle Ages...

And how about this fine example of tolerance?

Leviticus 20:13: "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. they must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

The point being: most Muslims, Christians or Jews don't follow what it says in their books literally...

dude im soo sorry but i think your looking at the wrong material cuz allah does not say to hate those who dont believe in allah. i hope the material that u read is not from the jews who try to confuse people so they can hate muslims. islam is a very loving and peacefull religion. and weather u like allah or not thats between u and him, us human have nothing to do with who u hate or like. its a muslims duty to tell u about his/her religion and its ur part to believe or not. and thats so on the day of judgement u wont go to allah and say well i knew so and so muslim and they didnt teach me about islam etc..... take care. may allah help u.

actually Islam also explicitly denounces racism and gave the right of divorce to women . and for the verse . doesn't it say "Abraham's example " Abraham is the Common ancestor if all judiac religions isn't he . all modern morals are derivatives of these religions . unfortunately even atheists have picked them up . but some tend pick up the hate ones best .

Oh expensive an identical clip and paste rubbish from Muslim wellbeing practitioner. Its humorous your right here posting a msg approximately non muslims hating the muslims and say its ok for Muslims to hate non-muslims as long as they suspect in Allah yet whilst ever I do turn on the television I see, "dying to u.s." "dying to united states of america" being chanted via a mornic suggestions wsahed muslim mob, i do no longer see mobs of christians performing in this evil way, i do no longer see christian international places with paintings of paintings on partitions asserting "down with united states of america" "dying to people" like in Iran. i do no longer see rabid mobs of brainwashed ignorant christians burning muslims flags, yet thats what I see muslims doing. turn on the television. Surf the channels and end on the indignant Islamic hate mob. seem on the mob and repeat: IF IT WALKS LIKE A DUCK AND TALKS LIKE A DUCK IT could be A DUCK Eh WHAT indignant SLAMIC HATE mobs, the only HATE MOBS I SEE ARE ISLAMIC ONES< so yep i assume if it walks like a duck then retarded brainwashed muslim hate mobs are ducks !

Excellent to hate people ???????????

Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Ephesians
Chapter 4

31 Let all bitterness, and anger, and indignation, and clamour, and blasphemy, be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be ye kind one to another; merciful, forgiving one another, even as God hath forgiven you in Christ.
