If you like cottage cheese . . . this is a meal in itself. I buy the 24-oz. container of fat-free cottage cheese, cut the avocado in half and smother with the cottage cheese. Chop up and eat. Marvelous!!! A lovely summer lunch.

Avacados are extremely healthy because they contain the 'good' fats our bodies need. A nicely ripened avacado has the best sort of flavour and texture. Look for hass avacados that are a deeper colour than the green ones, green-hued avacados are underripe and impossible to eat!
The flavour is mild, but the texture is rich and buttery so you need to eat them with something to cut the richness. After you halve the avacado, remove the pit and scoop out the flesh with a spoon, try sprinkling it lightly with salt and pepper and then a light drizzle of your fave vinegar and oil salad dressing ie Italian style dressing, or even just a little balsalmic vinegar is very tasty.

Sprinkle with sea salt or garlic salt and spoon right out of the skin. Or you can cube them up and pour lemon juice on them. I like them for a snack by themselves sometimes more than with something. Haas avacados are the best.

Avacados are high in the good mono-fat, that helps to take bad cholestoral fat out of your blood. Other than guacamoli dip, I've had them sliced up in salad greens, nuttie and nice.

Avocados are high in potassium, but also high in fat. My daughter eats them mashed up with a little salt and a spoon! I like them just with corn chips or on a slice of bread or on a tortilla...we eat avocado with just about anything! They are also good in a salad!
Enjoy!!

I personally prefer them by themselves. Cut a ripe one in half and sprinkle with lemon or lime juice, a little salt, and enjoy!
However, since few people enjoy them that way, I use them alot in tossed or composed vegetable salads with a vinegrette of either red wine or raspberry.

What about with chopped fine onions, chopped tomatoes,
of course avocados mashed and mixed, seasoning, tortilla chips. Now if you like it plain like you said then just cut or peel add salt and eat.

Try splashing them with a raspberry vinaigrette. Or you can splash some honey mustard salad dressing on them.
