How long have the dogs been gone? Did they have identification tags or a microchip? If someone picked them up they may have brought them to an area shelter and you could check there. Or you could call the local police to see if anyone has reported taking them in or even seeing them. If they are pure bred dogs - you may never see them again.
About 3 years ago I was driving down a really busy street in my area and a Rotweiler was standing in the middle of the road. I pulled over and the minute I opened my car door the dog jumped in. However, a pick up truck pulled over at almost the same time and wanted the dog - even though it wasn't his. I said no - I would find the owner and make sure the dog got home. I was sure this guy had the intent to keep the dog and would not have made an attempt to find the owner. The dog was gorgeous. I personally could not keep a stray unless I had made every valid attempt to find the owner. It's what I would hope someone would do for me. But not everyone thinks like that.

Call all the local shelters in your area and inform them you have a lost dog. They will take a report and description and direct anyone who may call with a found dog in your direction. Put signs up all over the place, within a 5 mile radius at least as this is an average distance a dog can go when they get loose. Be sure you put signs up in the local pet supply stores and local vets as well. Run an ad in the paper and take advantage of free ads on Craigs list if there's one in your area.
If you do find your dogs, consider microchipping them so that if they are found, you will have a much better chance of them being returned, regardless of how far away they are. Good luck finding your dogs.

If you have a lost dog registry in your area call them to register. They are set up so if someone finds a dog that matches your dogs description they will hook you two up to return your dogs.
Check your local animal control every 2-3 days.
Check your local humane society every 2-3 days.
Post flyer's in your neighborhood. Offer a reward of no more than $50
Post an ad in the lost section of your local paper - Here these ads are free to post. Call your paper and ask.
When your out drive around some to look for them.

Call your local humane society and dog pound. If they haven't found them then they will take a description so they can call you if the dogs are found. Also put up posters EVERYWHERE. Pictures help grab attention. Be sure to take posters to all the local vet's offices. Put ads in every local paper you have.
Always get your dogs microchipped. Pounds and vet's can check and the dog will be traced back to you.
Good luck!

If they've run away you need to put up signs offering a reward. You can also contact local authority, reporting your missing dogs.
They should be ok. Just leave out food and watch for them. They may find their way back on their own when hunger strikes, and they may have been taken in my a neighbor.
Good luck, hope you find your dogs soon!

this all kind of depends on their personality, you know your dogs better than I..if they are timid they might go find shelter under a bush or something similar, check with neighbors to see if they have spotted them. They might get hungry and come home, they have a keen sence of smell. In the meantime i would post up fliers in the event someone finds them. Good luck

Try registering them on the new national pet loss website.
http://www.lostandpound.com/
If you register them an e-mail is sent to everyone (vets, shelters, etc.) that are signed up. You can also print out FREE lost posters to put around your neighborhood!
I registered although I hope I never have to use it!
Check it out!
