Sugar Lemon Hair Remover Wax

What you'll need:

Squeeze the Juice of 1/2 a lemon
1-cup sugar
1/4-cup honey
Cornstarch
Popsicle sticks
Cotton Fabric Strips made from clean old t-shirts, rags, sheets, or whatever you have lying around.

Mix lemon, sugar and honey in a bowl.

Microwave on high for two minutes. Stir. Microwave on high for 20 - 30 more seconds, until bubbling.

DO NOT RISK A BURN ~ LET THE MIXTURE COOL TO THE TOUCH

Wash and dry your legs or area to be stripped then dust with cornstarch to remove excess oils from skin so the sugar will stick.

Spread a thin layer of the mixture onto your leg with popsicle sticks. Cover it with a strip of fabric and rub it a few times in the direction your hair grows.

Now, pull your skin taut, take a deep breath and pull the fabric quickly against the direction your hair grows.

Continue on, one strip at a time until your legs are smooth.

Reheat your mixture if necessary.

1 cup sugar
2 Tbl. lemon juice
2 Tbl. water.

Mix in a saucepan and boil for 8-15 minutes, or until 250 degrees (soft ball stage). Then pour it into a little Rubbermaid container and leave it to cool down a bit. Keep refrigerated. It can be heated up in the microwave...but be careful not to get it too hot and burn yourself. Also, don't do this if you're not familiar with how to wax, haven't done it before, etc...

Waxing really does make your hair grow in lighter over time. Because the wax gets into the hair follicle and pulls the hair from the root, it grows back less thick than when the shaft is shaved.

I heard that Sugar wax is much more gentler to the skin. Also an old recipe from Egypt.
