I have 6 volt bulbs, what resistor do I need inline for 12volt operation?

You can put two of those bulbs in series and just connect them to the power source.

You will have to provide with the power ratings (Amperes or milliAmperes) of your bulbs if you want the resistance value calculated for a single bulb connection.
