My front, top tooth was filed down because I had a chip, will it deteriorate faster?

One of my very front, top teeth was filed down because I had chipped it. I was filed down quite a bit. Will it deteriorate faster? If so, what can I do?

I had a top front tooth filed down because of a chip 15 years ago and it still seems fine.

you could take a pair of pliers and pull it out to help speed up the process

It should have been capped to protect it. See another dentist.
