He is what I call a Bulls**t artist and he does it to get as much attention from anybody willing to listen to him. You have three choices here....1) Talk to him and ask him to just be himself because you don't like it. 2) Leave and find someone more honest and down to earth. 3) Stay and just put up with it for as long as you can/will.
I personally would find someone else, ships ahoy matey!!!!

He has some what of a low self esteem and has to try to make his self look better. He might not have got alot of attention or praise for the things he accomplished in his childhood. By nature people like approval and like to complimented. That is a normal behavior for some one who has been deprived.

Everyone is kinda like that but it seems he just want attention and when someone else is talking and he doesn't listen it's probably because he's thinking of he wants to say....sometimes you just need to tell him:

"Dude, it's about me right now!"

I think for attention...He doesnt want everyone to hate him so he just agrees wtih everyone and he wants to look cool because heaps of cool stuff or soemthing....and they think everyone will like them when everyone is really turning agaist him.
