There is no way to know for sure why the puppy died. It just happens sometimes. It is ok to feel sad and to miss her. That is called the grieving process. As time goes by you will feel better and be able to remember your puppy without feeling so sad. Maybe you'd feel better now if you wrote a poem about her and tried to remember all the happy times you had with her. That is probably what she would want you to do.
For now, talk to someone about it - your parents, a friend, maybe a favorite teacher or counselor at school.
I hope these thoughts help you. Take care.

Agree with Demetria... a mother dog has an inkling about a sick puppy. If the old dog is the mother and didn't put the pup aside after birth, look for something the pup has eaten, or mouthed. In Australia, we have cane toads that exude a venom that is toxic to inquisitive wild and domestic life. If the puppy was in full health.\, I'd be looking for something ingested.

First of all I don't really understand your question. Did you have a older dog that had a puppy? I raise Yorkies and a mother can always tell if something is wrong with a puppy, she will keep it slid away from the healthy puppies.

it really depends on how old she was, and how many in the litter. She could of had a soft spot on her head they wouldn't grow up, not gotten enough of moms milk, gotten cold, bad liver... so many... if the puppies are still on mom, make sure her **** aren't hard or lumpy if so and the milk is kinda brown or off-white she has mastation and needs to go the doc. for penicillin shot, and the puppies need to be off her milk.

in case you do would desire to placed the older dogs down ascertain you permit the domestic dog scent the physique afterwards. canines comprehend while their playmates are long previous. I even have considered this take place fairly some cases. The canines that mourn are those that see their better half taken away and not introduced back.

It's not any ones fault your puppy died. It was just that time for GOD to come for your puppy. I hope you will get better. I know if my dog had puppies and one died I would be sad too. Oh and I know one of my friends dog that had puppies. She had 9 puppies. I think 3 died and she rolled over 2. So now she has 4puppies, but she already sold them except for 1 that she kept.

Obviously she wasn't "healthy as could be" if she died. Or did she die from an accident? You don't say so we don't know.
Sorry to hear about your doggie.

some dogs are born with orginial sin, this means that God is forced to either kill them or let them live in a tormented state... much like Canadians.
