Let them cry it out. At this age I think crying it out is best when it comes to sleeping through the night. Just lay them down and walk away. If their crying gets too hysterical then go in their room and stroke their head and softly talk to them. Just don't pick them up or you'll start another bad habit. It sucks, but it's tough love. Each night they'll cry less and less and eventually not at all. Good luck with it and I hope it works out for you..

I'd make sure that he has a full tummy and a dry diaper on and put him to bed at a reasonable time. I had one of those ocean wonders toys on my son's bed, and if he woke up during the night, he would play with that until he fell back to sleep.

I'm sorry, but beyond that, I'm not sure. Both my kids (aged 2 yrs and 6 months) sleep through the night, and have for quite some time.

Let her cry it out. Put her to bed at night, and don't go in again till morning. Period. Within a week she will be sleeping through the night.

I have dealt with the most difficult sleep issues I could ever have imagined, but I can't really answer you unless you give more info on what is actually going on. What is your child doing?
