We cut it more, so it regenerates faster because it thinks we're being hurt more. Our bodies adapt.

Ok, I can't believe some of the answers I've seen on here. The answer to your question is, it doesn't. Hair grows an average of 1 inch in about 6 weeks. Some peoples' hair grows a bit faster, some grows a bit slower. You have to get regular trims to dry ends off before they start to split. People who are healthy, active and eat well do tend to have healthier hair and skin and vitamins help, especially if you're deficient in certain ones. Pre-natal vitamins do seem to help many people. Once your hair gets to a certain length you don't notice how fast it's growing because you don't have visual points like eyes, nose, chin, etc. Take good care of your hair and your health and your hair will grow at the rate that is normal for you. I have clients tell me all the time that their hair doesn't grow and all I have to do to prove that it does is show them the 2 or 3 inches of roots they have since the last time they colored their hair.

Hair grows faster when it's cut, that's the reason men's beards grow so fast. Most guys cut their hair alot more often than women do.

I think it's our eyes playing tricks on us. You notice a lot more when a guys hair grows cuz they're always like short. But a girls hair is long so it seems like it takes forever to grow.

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aL9WZ While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

Just like the more you shave your legs, the faster it grows, the more you cut your hair the faster it grows. Because boys have short hair (well, most of them) they have to cut their hair more, therefore it grows more.
