Just like any other immigrants wishing to become naturalized American citizens, you need to apply for green card first. Once you've had your green card, you need to legally reside in the US for five years before you can apply for your citizenship. The final act would be the interview and test before your swearing oath ceremony. Go to ins.gov for more information on how to obtain a green card.

PS: Canadian actors have it easier cause their acting skill is considered unique and beneficial to America. Who knew...

I think you can just apply for it, although I have no idea why a Canadian would want to do that.

Also you could marry an American, although I have no idea why a Canadian would want to do that.
