It doesnt matter what it is. pencils pens markers toilet paper toys etc... She is a toy fox terrier and is two years old. She constantly has to have somthing in her mouth to chew on and what ever gets chewed into bits gets swallowed. One of these days im afraid that something is going to get stuck in her intestinal tract. Ive found balloons and rubber ball bits and toy stuffings and rubber gloves on the front lawn during potty time.WHAT can i do to stop her from doing this? Ive tried raw hide, she just eats it and vomits it up later. she also chews on furniture but at least that isnt as bad as it was. ive caught her with tacts in her mouth. Shes like a 6 month old child or a goat. any advice to solve this problem???

Umm just one thing dont hit her. Well a vet could help, but as a future vet I can help. Put her in a box (THE HUGEST BOX ON EARTH or the hugest one at home) and put her in it with a bunch of plastic chew toys that are not fittlable in the mouthable. Okie dokey and would it kill you to clean your house of all edible things?

Well you need to feed him enough so he wont be hungry and make sure the food is in different viarities liek you should have 2 types of dog food. one you give him one day the other the next so he gets pleased. Make sure he drinks water most dogs have a phobia for driking off there cups so let him drink out og the water hole every day for 5 minutes. Buy him or her a small 2 dollar chew toys because maybe he just like to chew around stuff. Also he may just have a hurt tooth or something thats bothering him. Take him to your local clinic because if you dont take care of the poblem (if there is one) it could get worse by the hour

My dog chewed on EVERYTHING when she was a pup... furniture, pool table, drywall, you name it. She is an aggresice chewer too, I swear she could gnaw her way through a brick wall. We wound up crate training her so we wouldn't have to worry when we were gone. Then, we invested in a bunch of Kong toys... she goes though so at a rate of about 1 every 2 months. We figured out that she chewed on stuff when she was bored. We get cheap toys for her every time we go to the pet store so she always has something to destroy (that isn't valuable to me). As long as she has something of hers to bite on, she doesn't bite my stuff! Hope it helps!

The dogs mouth, throat and esophageal tract are designed to ingest almost anything it can get into it's mouth. Your job is to keep the items that are small enough to go down, chewed or not, away from the dog. Hard job.

#1 clean up your house.
she won't eat anything if she can't find it.
how is she getting these objects? put baby gates in all the doorways. she can't get past even the cheapest ones.
