After all, these are not American citizens, they are Mexican citizens (for the most part).
If we are going to protect the citizens of Mexico working illegally in the USA, why discriminate against the citizens of Mexico working in Mexico?

Interesting question. As a practical matter we lack the ability to protect those in other countries. Sometimes we lack the ability to protect those in our country. I guess the legal argument is that we are responsible for the welfare of everyone who is here. I think that is only partially true, but I'm not a lawyer.

In what way do you expect your government to protect them?

You don't really seem to protect the illegal workers in the US but some industries thrive on them.

In any case, with the growing hispanic LEGAL population, smart politicians in your country are going to look for ways to put that vote on their side.

For the same reason we do not protect the workers in Argentina, or Great Briatain or anywhere else in the world... the job sites are not within our borders.

That's really inverted logic....1) its not the job of the US government to be "protecting" anyone but citizens and residents of the US; 2) it violates the sovereignty of Mexico to be attempting to affect what is going on there. DUH! Obviously you are asking a rhetorical question here and I refuse to answer what you really are getting at because your question is a "loaded" one, presupposing a certain response and answer.

Dumb question.

How are they protecting the ones in the US? If they find out out them, they go back.

Besides, no one gives a **** about Mexicans.
