I am doing a paper on the benefits of reading to children at an early age. I would like to put in there the percentage of college students were read to as children to show what reading to children can do for them. If any one knows this answer pls let me know and how you found the information. Thanks

I never went to college, nor did my parents.
But my parents made sure that my thirst for the written word never went unslaked! They never had to read to me.They were both hard workers, and had the funds to send me to school when I was only 3 years old. That school was where I learned to read.
My hunger for knowledge was like a wildfire, and my parents threw books at me like a baptist at a hate rally! I was reading (and UNDERSTANDING!) high school texts when I was in 3rd grade.
I'm a high school dropout, and so is my father. We both went on about our lives without a common understanding of each other.
My father was able, because of his unflagging stubborness,to make for himself a lucrative career.
I'm doing the same right now!
.I attribute my success to the fact that my parents encouraged my love for the written word.
