I'm totally freaking out and I'm so scared and cannot drop out now because the play is next Saturday and I know thats a long time, but I dont want to drop out because of a kiss...people will think I'm such a loser and dont want them thinking that. I really really want to kiss him, but not really if you know what I mean....please help!!!!!! (I have to kiss him on the lips)

Whatever you do, do not drop out.

It sounds odd, but the way to make this unembarrassing as possible is to not go halfway.

Ask your director how you should kiss him. Ask if you can practice. And then, kiss him passionately.

Now I know this might seem wierd for you, but consider what happens if you don't. If you peck him quickly, he'll know your nervous and it will be far more awkward. Just do exactly as your director tells you.

A lot of people work hard for their first kiss. You are lucky that you will get it under the guise of theater.

just kiss him not drop out for a kiss. If he says something like u kiss bad or whatever then just say well I didn't want to do a proper kiss for a play I want to save that for a guy I love or something. If you are not ready remember it's only acting and you can still have your first romantic kiss.

Trust me...You are ready. I would suggest a practice. If you know who you are to kiss. Suggest to him that you two go "practice" away from others. Things would really seem worse if you tried your first kiss in front of people. That would make most people's head explode.
Don't drop out. Be strong. Later in life you won't be able to escape uncomfortable situations. Now would be a great time to practice FACING those fears.

RELAX!! its a STAGE KISS! married actors and actresses have to kiss others ALL the time!! it means nothing, so stay "professional." if you like the boy, thats great, but it has nothing to do with the stage. you are someone else on stage, a character there to amuse your audience, nothing more. just have fun!! kissing is great, and is nothing to be afraid of or embarrassed about. its an excellent way to get his attention if you like him - tell him your nervous and need to practice! really, relax, dont think so much. its a scene, nothing more. tell your teacher your fears - believe me, they'll understand. think your the first girl to feel this way?? generations have gone before you! tell your mom or dad. they too will get it. tell them you like this boy,and you havent kissed yet. they also had a first kiss, along time before you cam along. they also will get it, more than you know. so enjoy it. grow into it! it should be fun! and exciting! your first kiss will be great!! good luck sweety!

GO IN FOR THE KILL! Lol. Listen, its just a play.Drama is fun and your friends are not very supportive if they are telling you that you aren't ready and not the "kissing type". All I can say is that they are jealous. Dont worry about it. The play will be a big hit!! Good Luck

just kiss him and be suprised about how not that big a of a deal it is, but i also have a nother idea. tell him you have a boyfriend and you don't want to give him the wrong idea so be sure to let the guy know that the kiss is only a kiss and nothing else. i hope this helps. don't forget your lines!

talk to your teacher and explain your fears.. maybe you could arrange for it to just be a kiss on the cheek instead of lips.. or even better, just a pretend kiss.. there's gotta be a solution, and no 14 year old should be forced to kiss someone, even if it's a drama thing..

NO DONT DROP OUT! DO YOU WANNA SEE SOMBODY ELSE KISSING YOUR GUY? Kiss him quoting Sebastian from the little Mermaid:
"Just pucker you lip like dis...." and lay one on him!! It's your time! If it's a french kiss POP IN SOME FRESHMINTS AND LAY ONE ON HIM!!

14 yr old Drama class has kissing scene? NO WAY! I applaud your morals and encourage you to stand up for yourself. Where are your parents! You should not have to give up part but if they are total jerks the heck with them! that's what understudies are for!

Have you tried talking to your teacher about this? If you really don't want to kiss, then you shouldn't. I understand what you mean abaout wanting to kiss him, just not in the circumstances of the play. I really think you should bring this concern to your teacher.
