we are active duty air force with less than 1 yr of a 6 yr enlistment. i have an illness related to the climate we are stationed in (which does not allow relocation) and we have begun to pay for two households in preparation for our upcoming civilian life. we are just looking to see about any options to be discharged earlier. what if we deny 7 level school/training. does that discharge honorably?

Don't decline to do anything. Speak to your supervisor and then your first sergeant. Tell them how you feel and get their opinion. Currently, if you want out they will let you out. If you have an illness then why aren't they doing an MEB? If they are doing an MEB to discharge you, then you want that option, because it will give you better VA benefits, etc. Working with the chain of command is your best bet. This is the best I can do with the information provided.

Well i'm not sure about the airforce, but in the army you can generally refuse to go to a new school if you want to. Let's say your an E-6 and you have a slot in A(noc). Yes you can refuse to go to that school, but your stopping any chance for promotion and i'm sure your CO will frown on you for doing that. Now let's say you finally recieve orders to go to this school and you are supposed to ship out but last seconed you refuse ... this you can get in trouble for.. once you recieve your orders you better report or it's your ***. You probably won't get a dishonerable but you may get an Article 15 or somthing like that.

are you saying you have only been for a year, or that your EAOS is in under a year?.

If you have only been less than a year, your chances of getting out are slim unless you can get Medical to recommend MedSep.(general under Honorable)

If you been in a while, you can request early out, but your Command would have to sign off on it( be willing to gap the billet)

Seeing as how the AF is force shaping, you may have a shot, unless you have a critical skill.

Why are you asking this here? You have a wealth of information and support within your unit command.

You seem to be part of the problem, not the solution.

Get your trash together and work out your problems through the proper channels.

It is up to the CO and your records. You can get a general or a BCD discharge
