If it's meant to be....it can't wait another year!

Are you the 17 year old girl or the 26 year old BOY? Either way, it's awful. I think that while there may be a physical attraction, that it should be ignored. I know they say love is all you need, and go with your heart no matter what. Love knows no color, no age, no sex. . . BUT it's illegal for a reason. A child and an adult should not be in a romantic relationship together. I say ignore each other for one year. If the feelings are still there when the 17 year old is legal, then sure- go for it. But don't expect too much.

Sick, sick, sick!

What could a 26 year old POSSIBLY have in common with a 17 year old? NOTHING!

A 26 year old who prays on underaged teenagers needs to get some serious help. And if you are the 17 year old and thinks that he really DOES love you, think again. He just wants your body. Some guys love that cheerleader look--the barely legal sex.

A 17 year old has SO much to grow. At 17, you have only JUST begun to figure out who you are. How is going to go over with your parents when you bring home your new boyfriend who is 9 years older than you are?

If he really loves you, he'll wait until you're older.

When I was oung I thought wow, she has a great older man! I got a little older and I thought wow, he got a pretty younger woman. Now as a full fledgedadult I say WOW I wonder how long it will take her to figure out he is using her for sex. AND if you want to throw the L word into it, and you think a 26 year old MAN feels that way about a 17 year old girl, then the man needs to do a lot of growing up. Reality check, does he live with his mother?

Personally I don't think it will last. That is a big age difference and at that point in ones life there are so many differences between a 17 yr old and a 26 yr old. but whatever good luck.

Not acceptable at all. Can't the guy find a woman his own age? A 26 yr old man dating a woman (girl) who is only 17 yrs old is sick. If it were my daughter, I'd be calling the cops.

What do you mean being with a 26 yr old? It's called RAPE.
Don't you know the 26 yr old can go to jail?

Does he know you're 17? The only issue is that he would be cool with dating someone underage. And you always have to think, would you date someone who is eight? Same age difference. I know it's very ewww, but still, you have to wonder, why is he going for a 17 yr old when he could be going out with anyone his age. I'm not saying you're not mature enough, but you really have to wonder what it is he wants from you that he isn't getting from his own peers.

Nothing good can come of this. I am also 17, and any realationship with a minor that is above 2 years older is not something that you want to be involved in. Especailly with someone who is able to start a full career

He should'nt be going out with anyone under 21. A 26 year old MAN should NOT be going out with a high school GIRL...If she were my daughter, I'd bounce him off a wall...
