there is a dot in between each word...

dot right there in the middle etc, etc
and then i get these weird symbols pop up....anyone know wht happened?
by the way...these things just went all over my document rigth after i pressed backspace?:S...so now everytime i'm writting...those stupid symbols pop up around my document

Sounds like you have accidentally hit the show/hide button. It looks like a backward P or paragraph marker. It is a toggle. Press for on, press for off. It is usually found just to the left of the percentage button on the Standard Toolbar.

It is used to display non-printing characters like spaces, paragraph marks, page breaks, section breaks, etc. This capability comes in handy when you have the need to reformat.

Ryan L is right, the symbol looks like a strange backwards IP and when you hover over it, it says "Show/Hide"

Check if CAPS,Num lock are on but ive never heard of that problem before

click the paragraph symble in your toolbar to turn it off
