I don't really understand why there is so much anger being expressed towards immigrants, can you say why?

I have nothing against immigrants who come here legally. ILLEGAL immigrants are the ones I dislike because they are breaking the law and then acting like they are being singled out just because they are immigrants and for no other reason. They see nothing wrong with breaking a law that thousand upon thousands of other immigrants chose to abide by so they could become citizens honestly. And what burns me more than anything is that they compare their struggles with those of the blacks. Well I'm sorry but the blacks were brought here against their will. There is a BIG difference!

I'm not seeing a whole lot of anger against immigrants, just illegal aliens. There is a difference. An immigrant is here legally, supporting himself or herself, contributing to the government by paying taxes, and probably not breaking any laws. An illegal alien is already breaking laws just by being here illegally, sometimes criminal, costing law abiding tax payers money everytime they visit an emergency room because they cannot pay and don't have insurance, working for illegal wages which also hurts the law abiding citizens by taking away jobs, and not supporting our government in any way.

I think the government should tell all illegal immigrants that they should have to sign up to the military. Our boys have to at a certain age and see how many come over here. We are all tired of them coming over here taking jobs away from us. and not paying the taxes , getting all the free stuff like, food stamps, welfare, and health care. If you come here you should also learn the language and stop all that jabbering. Our teachers should not have to learn Spanish just to teach school. We are living in the USA not other countries.

When are you going to get the point that its NOT ABOUT RACISM its about our soverign country and our culture. Our land and our language is what makes our culture and we cant just have anyone who wants a free lunch coming here and exploiting our generous system. Millons of people have immigrated here LEGALLY and flourished but in the time of Terroism we need to know who is in our country so we can protect our culture. BY the way Victor maybe you should take better advantage of your FREE public schooling cause its obvious you were too stoned or lazy to learn anything. Victor we didnt steal anything your country signed the treaty of Gudalupe Hidalgo just as we did so blame your forefathers for the land. In that treaty it says we have a right to protect our soverign border.

Don't you mean illegal immigrants, I think you will find that people that have a problem with illegal immigrants have no problem with legal immigrants, as you have conveniently forgot this country is the largest in the world made up by immigrants. it costs this state billions of dollars each year because of illegal immigration.
not to mention loss of emergency rooms, jobs for legal citizens,
prison overcrowding, 35% of prisoners are illegals.

Try to follow along here. This isn't really difficult to understand. NO ONE has any problem with IMMIGRANTS. Anyone, from anywhere, who comes into this country LEGALLY is more than welcome to stay and make a good life for themselves and their families. OK, are you with me so far?

The problem is not with immigrants. The problem is with ILLEGAL ALIENS. The problem is with people - from ANYWHERE - coming into this country ILLEGALLY. Not just Mexicans. ANYONE FROM ANYWHERE. Like terrorists, for example, who practically skip across our unprotected Southern border.

What is it about this concept that is so hard for some people to understand? Every time I read a question like this one, it makes me cringe. This is a no-brainer. This has NOTHING to do with racism. This has NOTHING to do with not wanting legal immigrants to get a piece of the good ol' American pie. This has NOTHING to do with "personal experiences", which implies discrimination. This has EVERYTHING to do with no longer being willing to tolerate the pillaging of our country by people who BROKE THE LAW to sneak in.

I don't think this could be any simpler.

It's the illegal ones that bother me. I feel they need to apply to be here and learn English. I don't think it's fair that they sneak in and are given food stamps, social security benefits, and free medical when they aren't even legally here! Come into the country the right way and then it's OK. I'm sorry if this offends anyone. This is my opinion.

Is that anger towards immigrants or more towards illegal immigrants? If it is towards illegal immigrants, it is because we the tax payers of this country have to pay for the things they can't like healthcare, welfare, taxes and the lists go on....
