just let her grow up, but ur both at a disadvantage. you both have strong religious beliefs. Just tell her about the FLYING SPEGHETTI MONSTER and she might come around, good luck with that

I have older sister issues as well.

Tell her with kindness and love the next time she is being judgemental or mean to you that she is being judgemental and mean. It's important to tell her why she's doing it so you can give her examples of how she was mean two seconds ago if she says, "I'm not being mean." Tell her that you love her, but you're an adult and capable of making your own decisions, and you do not appreciate being judged or spoken down to (or whatever she does) when you talk to her. Then tell her that if she doesn't begin treating you with the respect you deserve, you won't speak to her anymore.

Then stick to your guns. If your relationship is important to her, she will hopefully amend her ways. While it's important to hold onto familial relationships, it is more important to be loved and respected, and if she isn't treating you with love and respect, "tough love" from you may be the only thing that wakes her up. It may also be the jolt she needs to recognize that you aren't children anymore - you're an adult, and she doesn't have the right to treat you the way that she does.

Bright blessings.

Ok this is hard since I am a Baptist as well, but I had to learn this myself. Tell her she is only to plant the word of God not cram it down ones throat. When one witness's to someone it should only be done when its a burden. Jesus loved people he never looked at there life and started on all the wrongs they have and preach. One scripture that could help her is when Jesus spoke to the men about to stone a woman, and Jesus said he who is without sin cast the first stone. No man could cast a stone after that. Even you sister has sin and she is no better than you, other than she is saved. Not saying you are not but guessing there. Wished I could have given a scripture but cannot remember. Try also to remember your sister loves you and even though she harps on you she means only the best. Tell your sister to take a back step and give time to let the Holy Spirit do his job.

Love her anyway.

When Peter asked Jesus how many times a person should forgive another for wronging them Jesus said 7 times 70. This is not meant as a finite # because then we all would go to He**. But is meant as forgive until you have forgoten all the things that you have forgiven and then forgive some more.

Always return hate with love and sooner or later love will win.

God is the only judge you need to be concerned about. And you could remind your sister of that fact. She must be very insecure as a person to need to always find fault with others. I feel its a case of her needing to blow other peoples candles out so that hers shines brighter. God is all seeing and all knowing. Judge not less ye be judged.........

Say
"I can not come to respect your beliefs if you do not respect mine.I will not argue with you like a child, but I will say that I don't appreciate you looking down your nose at me."
Then say-
"I want my sweet, humble sister back.I loved her and I assumed she loved me."
Then walk away.

What ever you do,I hope for the best.Good luck!

You can't. She thinks that her silly little judgmental God wants her to act the way she acts.

Just try your best to love her.

If she keeps up this behaviour towards you, tell her the lord has given you permission to beat her with a cross, and if she snickers at you about this then do it...
