Darker...dark lowlights. But i think some really light, bleach blonde pieces would look amazing. Maybe mix it up. Some really light and some really dark is a nice contrast. The dark will make the light look really blonde.

I would go with a brighter blond or like a carmal color, but your hairstyles will help ya out, I think they know best. When I get mine done I pretty much let her pick the color, shes my friend and I trust her, but I always love it.

you're able to get short uneven layers after which you're able to tease your hair alot with a comb(which ability protecting the area of your hair which you particularly prefer to be poofy or stick out and protecting it at as quickly as up and brushing it backwards)then as quickly as that's combed backwards positioned gel twards the roots then the two mess it up with your hands or rat it with a broom.Then hairspray it so it continues to be longer

my best advice is to go into a hair salon and ask one of the stylist.
it's hard to tell you when theres no way of actually SEEING how your hair looks =)
