Rape is molestation. Molestation does not necessarily mean rape. Molestation is any type of contact that may cause sexual gratification by the molester. Molestation could be as simple as someone grabbing your rear through your pants. Rape means sex; anal, oral, or vaginal penetration. There are legal differences that vary from state to state. These differences define the severity of the abuse. In general sex with a minor is always rape. However the age of a minor also varies from state to state.

Rape involves actual sex acts. Molestation is more groping, touching, removing of clothes or a personal intrusion w/o an actual sex act upon the victim.

Molestation is touching and/or petting the private areas.
Rape is penetration inside the body, regardless of what the object is and where the insertion is.

Whoever thumbs-downed me needs some education. I have dealt with children who were raped orally, anally, and vaginally by fingers, and other objects. The law sees any sexual penetration as rape.

Rape is the insertion of the penis into the vagina, sodomy is the insertion of the penis into other areas of the body like mouth or anus or the insertion of a foreign object into the vagina or anus and molestation is the fondling of the victim of the genitalia or other private areas...all against the will of the victim.

This is a Good Question.

Rape is when someone has sex with another person, that doesn not want to have sex with them. They tear off their clothes, threaten them, and have sex with them, weather they like it or not.

Molestation dosen't always have actual SEX involved. It could just be touching in private areas.

So, Hope this helped!
