Elvira Arellano is staying at a christian church after the Federal Goverment order her to leave the U.S. She has a lil kid who is a U.S. citizen. Her excuse for refusing to leave the states is that her son is a u.s citizen. Obviously the law states that the kid might legalize her mom when he is an adult. In my opinion she shouldn't be allowed to stay. What makes her think that the gov. should just do whatever she asks them to do, especially if she is using the kid as an excuse. When she came to the states she knew she had the risk of being deported. Deal with it. don't you guys think?

Kick her back to mexico and the extradite her and charge her with child endangerment and exploitation.
The mexican government has no business involving themselves into the affairs of the great United States of America.
Clean up your own house first then you can tell others to clean up their house.

She has ALREADY been deported, once before this latest incident, and came back into the United States illegally, a second time, now "cleverly" using a church as "sanctuary" from deportation. Supposedly the Feds won't go into a church to enforce the laws of our land.
What do I think? I think that it is despicable to use a 7-year-old to make a political statement (and this isn't the first time she has used her son, either). I think that it isn't right for a church to, in effect, be a party to obstruction of justice. I think our administration has forgotten the part of the Constitution having to do with "separation of church and state". I think that this incident is a reflection of our present administration's unwillingness to enforce the laws of this country. I think that, as a sovereign nation, that no other country on the face of this planet has the right to dictate to us what we can/can't/should/shouldn't do, and I think that it is audacious that another government acts like this with apparent impunity or reprimand from our OWN administration. I think that since her son is now back in Mexico, and she is "so concerned" with being separated from him, that she should now go to where her son is- in Mexico, where she belongs. I think the entire thing is a sham - and a shame.

This should happen:
A) Have ICE storm in and get her.
B) Have Chicago's Police SWAT and get her.
If she is going to stay she needs to be sent to Federal prison and serve a life sentence for the crimes she committed. Plus have her parental rights terminated. That child is not an object to be used. That child is a human and deserves a better life.

I think she needs to be sent back to whence she came, and I think she should have her parental rights terminated for sending her poor child to Mexico to straighten out her business. She's so concerned that if she brought him with her to Mexico he'd be away from friends and school, but not at all concerned about using that poor kid as a political ploy, making him intercede on her behalf instead of going to school and being a child, not to mention sending him to a completely different country without her supervision. She irked me before, but now she makes my skin crawl.

She should be deported. Her son is already in Mexico having just successfully petitioned the government to send our government a resolution that WE should let her stay and live off of our benefits and should do the same for all other illegal immigrants who have children here.
I can't imagine why Bush is letting it go on this long. Particularly with having been previously deported and illegally returned and having been convicted of social security fraud, she would in no event be eligible for any amnesty in any event.

When children are involved, it just breaks my heart.
It had been said that if she is allowed to stay, others will follow suit.
I would never leave my child for any circumstances! So, would she consider taking him with her.. and then what.
I am not pro illegal, but I cannot nor will I ever, tear a child away from it's mother, or a mother from her child.
So where does that leave us..

I am a pro-illegal but I agree with you. Why should she be an exception when thousands of illegal immigrants get deported daily? Not to mention her terrible parenting towards that poor kid. I also think that she is using him. She needs to go!

This will be the problem solver. Since nobody can control the flow of illegal entrants into the USA we should just do it like North and South Korea, their Border Patrols out their are snipers with high powered rifles. that will take out an illegal at 400 yards ,You can guarantee they have no problems in that department.

I think it would be exceedingly cruel to deport her--not only for her, but for her child. Do you advocate that the child be separated from its mother? Is she some sort of menace to society? This is a great nation and we are not hurting for resources or anything else. . .we certainly are not that hard up to be cruel to humanity.
