These people actually believe that the the world is 12,000 years old. Swear to God. Based on what? I asked them.
"Well we looked at all the people in the Bible and we added 'em up all the way back to Adam and Eve, their ages: 12,000 years."
Well how ******* scientific, okay. I didn't know that you'd gone to so much trouble. That's good. You believe the world's 12,000 years old?
"That's right."
Okay, I got one word to ask you, a one word question, ready?
"Uh-huh."
Dinosaurs.
You know the world is 12,000 years old and dinosaurs existed, they existed in that time, you'd think it would have been mentioned in the fu(king Bible at some point.
"And lo Jesus and the disciples walked to Nazareth. But the trail was blocked by a giant brontosaurus... with a splinter in his paw. And O the disciples did run a shriekin': 'What a big ******* lizard, Lord!' But Jesus was unafraid and he took the splinter from the brontosaurus's paw and the big lizard became his friend.
"And Jesus sent him to

"And oh Scotland did praise the Lord. Thank you Lord, thank you Lord. Thank you Lord."

lol brave attempt, but ulitmately it doesn't matter how much scientific proof you can offer a creationist their blind faith won't accept it.
carbon dating may not be an exact science but it's a darned sight more accurate than believing in several unrealated documents compiled 100's of years after the events they 'record' by a roman emporer with an agenda..
it's all fairly accademic to discuss the bible or creationism (or any religion) on somewhere like yahoo, you'll never change someones beliefs and at the end of the day, what does it matter. I wish i could believe in a god,it might make living feel slightly more purposeful...

The Bible doesn't mention kangaroos either, but, rest assured, they were on the Ark. And were did you get 12,000 years from? And how do you know that, somewhere in the world, there still are dinosaurs? There are certainly legends of great beasts in Africa, Asia, South America.

Firstly, if you add up the ages, you would get about 6000 years not 12000.
Secondly, it is widely thought that the behemoth mentioned in the Bible is another word for dinosaur.
Thirdly, Jesus was on earth only 2000 years ago, and everyone collaborates on there not being dinosaurs then.
Fourthly, Scientists don't tend to believe that dinosaurs and men coexisted.

Aah! good on ya mate.
Actually they say it's only 6000 years. I have a time line calender in my library that shows it, fascinating.
When the Monk that worked it all out was around they hadn't found any dinosaurs bones. Thy probably did but didn't know what they were.
Therefore "Dragons." especially in Scotland.

They are mentioned in the bible in Job. Maybe they wasn't like some think they were. Like man eaters and such. The bible does not give the history on it. Dinosaurs is not what one should be focused on.
