The office has sent them numerous requests that many people have complained. Last time, my roommate and I jumped up and down, which eventually got them the message, but they still continue to leave it up. At this point, I know they're doing it in spite. Any answers?

The office has sent them numerous requests that many people have complained. Last time, my roommate and I jumped up and down, which eventually got them the message, but they still continue to leave it up. At this point, I know they're doing it in spite of it all. Now these aren't exactly the nice, small windchimes either...they're Quazimoto sized organ-pipe type windchimes, and many of the people around us with children are agrivated with the annoyance as well.

Go around and get signatures on a pettition, then take it to managment and demand something be done, livng in a complex, they can't ignore everyone, and just keep complaining until the problem has been resolved..I wouldn't want them as neighbors.

Maybe they forget with all of the stuff we have to do on a daily basis.
Have they ever taken them down?
Probably out of spite or memory loss.
Maybe send them a card and explain your story that for some reason the chimes are like a leaky faucet and you need your sleep because you have to wake up at 6a.m. etc.
Maybe if you get them to sympathize with you they will bring them down.
Would it help if the chimes were maybe placed in a different area , the front of the building away from bedrooms, etc.

OMG we had neighbors next door with those high-pitched tinkling chimes where we could hear them thru the patio doors and above the roar of the traffic. It's like someone scratching on a chalkboard all day - unnerving! The lady moved after a few months - we got VERY lucky!
Borrow a friend's yippy mutt and let it out and it can really wreak some havoc with them!

Honestly, if nothing has happened in like 4 weeks, Hire someone to steal it and pound it into pieces and send it by fedex. This will stop it. I know this sounds a bit ridiculous, but its the only way its going to get them to take it down.
Okay, so that might come off a little extreme. Second option, GO TALK TO THEM AND TELL THEM HOW IT IS DISRUPTING YOUR SLEEPING AND YOU WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF THEY TOOK IT DOWN.
okay if that doesnt work, revert to the first way. it will work. i did it.

They make long handled clippers. Like for clipping pieces off trees...you can get them at Lowe's. I'm sure you can figure out how to use them...and on what? If they lose a set of chimes or two, maybe they'll get a hint.

I am starting to get the perception that yanks have tissue paper houses. Go down there and tie string around them so they don't ching. I pity the landlord that has to listen to these petty complaints.
