SAFE!!!
Nothing but kibble is healthy

UNSAFE!!!

If your dog has ingested any of these foods, get veterinary help immediately
Grapes and Raisins: Grapes and raisins can cause kidney failure in dogs. As little as a single serving of raisins can kill a dog
Onions: Onions destroy red blood cells and can cause anemia.
Chocolate: Chocolate can cause seizures, coma and death. Baker’s chocolate is the most dangerous. A dog can consume milk chocolate and appear to be fine because it is not as concentrated, but it is still dangerous.
Coffee, Coffee grounds, tea and tea bags: Drinks/foods containing caffeine cause many of the same symptoms chocolate causes
Macadamia Nuts: Macadamia nuts can cause weakness, muscle tremor and paralysis.
Animal fat and fried foods: Excessive fat can cause pancreatitis.
Bones: Bones can splinter and damage a dog’s internal organs.
Tomatoes: Tomatoes can cause tremors and heart arrhythmias. Tomatoe plants and the most toxic, but tomatoes themselves are also unsafe.
Avocados: The fruit, pit and plant are all toxic. They can cause difficulty breathing and fluid accumulation in the chest, abdomen and heart
Nutmeg: Nutmeg can cause tremors, seizures and death
Apples, Cherries, Peaches and similar fruit: The seeds of these fruits contain cyanide, which is poisonous to dogs as well as humans. Unlike humans, dogs do not know to stop eating at the core/pit and easily ingest them.
Raw eggs: Raw eggs can cause salmonella poisoning in dogs. Dogs have a shorter digestive tract than humans and are not as likely to suffer from food poisoning, but it is still possible.
Salt: Excessive salt intake can cause kidney problems.

It's easier to list what they shouldn't eat.

Don't feed:
Chocolate
Grapes and Raisins
Onions
Macademia nuts
Cooked bones
Avocado

Avoid:
Garlic, at least in any quantity
Fatty, greasy, spicy or sugary foods

Anything else that you'd consider healthy for humans should be fine, or even healthy, for your dog. Kibble has been around less than 100 years. To all the people who freak out that human food is terrible for dogs, I'd like to know
1) what they think dogs have eaten for the other thousands of years they've been around, and
2) what they think kibble is made out of -- do they really believe it's healthier to serve dogs non-human grade leftover meat that's been processed up with indigestible grains than to give them whole fresh ingredients? Would they feed their children that way? (Oops... I forgot how many people DO feed their children that way)

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7RD

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

No chocolate, but really any sweets are not a good choice. The best food is dog food, but I know my dog likes carrots(they are crunchy like a bone), and a few other vegetables. The vet said that that can be good for a dog. My brother feeds his 4 dogs table scraps like steak, pork, sometimes chicken. An important note is that due to the hollow nature of chicken bones, they can be hazardous becausenthey fragment into very sharp pieces. Just be sure that if the dogs are getting people food, you place it in thier bowls so that they know the difference between your food and their food. Never feed them straight from the table or they will never go away.

Most human food is not good for your dog, but it wont kill it either. Foods that will have an immidiate negative inpact on your dog are raisens/grapes, chocolate, nuts, and onions. Pretty much everything else is OK in moderate proportions unless your dog has an allergy.

Dogs' stomachs are more acidic than humans. That's why they can eat almost anything successfully. The only foods that I know for sure they shouldn't have are foods with caffeine in them, like chocolate. I have heard that it affects them more strongly and can overwhelm their heart and blood pressure. Obviously, foods that are considered "junk food" to humans would also be bad with all of the artificial colorings, etc.

Grapes are bad for dogs. I have read that it is usually in large amounts though. Plain ground beef cooked with rice is good when you dog is sick with a tummy ache. Carrots are ok, in small amounts if your dog likes them. Sweets are bad, milk can cause loose stools. Most people food, if you pet is not use to it, can cause bad gas....yuk. A good dog food is Nutro.
