You should let nothing keep you from worshipping God, my friend. Everyone who sits inside a church is a sinner. Know that wherever you go on earth and run into people, we are all of one stripe: sinners.
Seek the living God through the mercy of his Son Jesus. Don't let any human being get in your way.

Are you a Christian? Have you accepted God's free gift of salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus? That should be your first priority - not whether or not to go to church. But if you are a Christian, you are living a lifestyle that most in the Christian community believe is sinful. Being honest with you, you would probably not be welcome in some churches. That is wrong. EVERYONE SINS. If only the truly sinless were in church, the church would be empty. You might want to talk to some of the Pastors of the different churches in your area and see what they say.

Go to church as you are and let God clean up what he will. We are to Look to God for our salvation. I know for a fact there are God fearing churches out there that will welcome you even though they do not agree with you or your ways. Our Church has had several gays come and join in on services. and we are taught to extend Gods love with any who come seeking God. You see it is not what I think of you or any one else that will get you to heaven. But it is our thoughts mattering to you above the word of God that could keep you from Heaven. So find a church seek out the truth of God's word for your life, and let that be the only thing that matters to you. If you join in and build the house of the Lord, rest in knowing He Will build yours on the sure foundation.
Good Luck
I pray that God leads you to the place that your questions will be answered in the truth and the knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

You might look into some Universal Unitarian (I think) churches. There are churches who will not turn you away and who do not preach that being gay is wrong. It's not. Besides - I don't believe any real God would turn his back on you just because you're gay. There is no failure at the level of the soul. God created your soul in perfection. That perfection becomes flawed because of the physical body. That's why humans aren't perfect and why we can be mean to eachother and all that. Though being gay still isn't a sin! Just remember your soul/spirit is divine perfection.

Sin and heaven cannot be mixed.
You are either sin bound living in sin or heaven bound repenting your sin and turning away from it.
As long as you are living a sinful life style, you are going away from heaven and away from the Lord.
Either you deny the Lord or the Lord deny you, because the Lord wants us sinful nature to deny our self, that is, our value, taste, way, will and anything of the sinful nature in order to live in His kingdom where His way, truth and life style is honored, respected and lived.
Just because you love your life style that will pass away quicker than you think, you exchange the evelasting happiness for an overnight pleasure.
I don't think that is a wise exchange.
I'd rather give up my sinful life style to receive the righteousness, peace and joy in the kingdom of God.
Without righteousness of God, you will never have peace and joy of the Lord.
The Lord wants you to turn from your sin and to join His righteousness and holiness that can fill the void in us sinners.
Come to the Lord and listen to Him, today!

Religion is having a personal relationship with God. What is important is you recognise HIM as your creator and Lord. Go to church ! God's all abounding love encompasses everything. His generosity can never be equalled. As the cliche goes, there is room for one more hypocrite...lol... this means that all of us are infallible. We have all our own faults. It does not mean that just because you are gay you are much more sinful than any of us. Each person has his own horrible sins too. But we keep trying to become better persons. So go, worship and be with your God, HE does mot count your sins anyway.

You and GOD are the bottom line. As far as a group of believers, that would depend on you. If I go to church and say that I didn't honor my mother and father this week and I also put something above GOD in my life I would most likely get encouragement and understanding for braking the 10 Commandments. But If I was to say I was GAY then the responses could range from Encouragement to people freaking out and condemning me. People project their phobia's onto their beliefs. Homosexuality is a sin but no greater sin then looking at the opposite sex with lust in your heart is for heterosexuals.
So that's the truth. Its up to you now.
May GOD richly bless you!

I am Gay as well.
Metropolitan Community Churches are Gay affirming Christian churches in 26 countries and a recognized Christian denomination by the World Council of Churches.
www.jesus.com is their web site.
UCC is also a gay affirming denomination.
Most Methodist and some epischopal churches are accepting and there are individually tolerant churches in all the other major denominations.
God made you and knew all that you would do and be before you were born and said it was good. Psalm 139.
God made no one just to hate and destroy them. Find a Christian community to begin life anew with God, please.

Do you think that being gay is wrong?
Do you know what the bible says about homosexuality?
Do you know that being gay is totally against what the bible says?
Do you know that homosexuality is not the unforgiveable sin?
Do you know that you can be forgiven for your sin?
Did you know that JESUS can set you free from the bondage of homosexuality?
I have a friend who is free.
you can be too if you acknowledge that you are a sinner and that you believe that JESUS died for your sins and that he rose from the dead and HE will come back tou take you and the rest of us who trust and believe
In answering your question, you should be afraid to goif you think you're not doing anything wrong. you are entering a HOLY place to worship a HOLY God who demands worship in spirit and truth. Because it's not about US it is all about HIM and what HE"S done that is why we worship.
and if we feel aprehensive it's because of the HOLY SPIRIT moving us to realize that we are wrong and are in need of repentance

II wanted to confess to you. I am a terrible sinner. I really like women, Not so bad you say.. Trouble is I am married . Now I think you are starting to see the issue,,, I have had to give these feeling to My Lord Jesus Christ.. I confessed this as sin to him and have excepted His promise that if I confess my sin He is faithful and just to forgive my sin and cleanse me of all unrighteousness. Do I still want women.. YES. Do I go out and commit sin with them... No... Is it hard not to.. You bet!! But Jesus is strong for me when I am weak. Ok we think different but I can tell you right now that to God sin is sin and He sees no difference between yours and mine.
I know it would be hard to stop your sin but Jesus cab give you the grace to do it. I would think getting into a good Bible believing church could help you. In a good one they won't make a judgment, they will help you see the Love of our God and the offer of salvation thru faith in His and the cleansing power of His blood... Jim
PS write me I would love to see the miracle God is about to preform in your life...
