There have been seats in all the synagogues I've gone to. Most art I've seen that includes the inside of a synagogue also shows seats.

I've only been to one such place of worship, but I remember ample seating... Field trip in early highschool, studying religion as a part of my Middle East/aisan History tour.

Never did get to see that Mosque, but we did get to stop at a Karribou Koffee along the way...

People do not sit on the ground; there are seats. Jews do not follow Muslim customs!!!
