I did this last night it worked great. Scrub Apple Cider vinigar into your hair. Put your hair into a towel and let it dry. Go to sleep when you wake up wash your hair and it is all better. Just make sure when your rubbing the vinigar in you scrub. The acid in the vinigar unclogs your pores.

Depends on it if it is just tight, dry scalp or actual dandruff which is a medical condition and contagious to boot.
Head and shoulders is horrible.. its stripping to the hair, can coat it with waxy stuff.. Most dry flakey hair is just an untended to scalp.. not washing it properly, dig the tips of your fingers in when you wash your hair and rotate them slowly, try shampooing twice rinsing REALLY well til it feels squeaky then using a light conditioner. Scalp massages and cholesterol treatments can often help with over dry scalps.

Use a dandruff shampoo and/or conditioner. Head & Shoulders is my favorite brand, however it can be very expensive. If you have extremely dry, flaky hair, try using the extensive care product from H&S. I think it's in a navy blue bottle, unless they changed their packaging. Another option is using a less mild shampoo like Herbal Essances or Dove, if they have a shampoo(I really don't remember.) Thermasilk I believe has special color-coated bottles for different hair remedies. If nothing helps, contact a dermatologist. They can prescribe the best treatment for your scalp. Hope I helped!

The Hair? Shave it off. The dry flakes? Use a specially medicated shampoo like Head and Shoulders or if that doesn't work, ask a dermotologist for an RX type that is stronger.

.first, dry skin causes flakiness (dead skin cell buildup) which causes clogged pores (acnewhiteheads, closed comodones etc) make sure u drink plenty of water your skin can be dehydrated. which makes it very dry and flaky. Also steaming your face for 15 min. before and during cleansing can benefit by moistening...EXFOLIATE!! exfolating your skin sloghs the dead skin cells of your skin leaving it smoother so they wont clog. Get a gentle scrub for you face. Always tone your skin too. For dry skin dont use anything w/alcohol or salayic acid in it it will dry it out more. Good products containing lactic, green tea in them are good...try a moisturizing mask 2wice a week

condition first of all.
secondly, make sure you're rinsing your hair out good...because the dried shampoo or soap can leave flakes.
also, make sure you have good water pressure in the shower.
if this doesn't help...a dermatologist can prescribe a special soap that will rid you of flakes......it may be due to a fungus or bacteria of some sort.
