My sister is taking the wrong path in life, she is depressed and all alone in a one room apartment and now has taken up cocaine to occupy her time...I'm soooo worried about her and feel absolutely helpless, please help - someone?

I went down that path, right down into the needles.
The only way for me to get out of it was to hit my bottom and realize that there may be no bouncing back this time. I was on deaths door. Don't push at her to stop, in many cases that will encourage one to do more.
Never give up on your love for her and let her know that you will be there to support her emotionally when she is ready. Just don't fall into the trap of trying to support her financially, as that can just prolong the process.
I have many friends who had to detach themselves from family and even their own children, but never stopped loving them. When they know that you are there in that aspect, and when they are ready, hopefully they will call.
I know that I did, after excommuncating with my family, I knew that whatever happened they would be there. And that is who I called and that is who got me to where I needed to be and to where I am today with 2.5 years clean. to me not a long time, but as long as I make it through today, than that is good enough.

Its sad to see family members get into the wrong path. Just be supportive and stay involved but I'm afraid you can't just make her stop her new habit. People quit when they are ready to quit and thats it. Try inviting her into activities your involved with taking away her snorting time. Good luck buddy.
