checked luggage, definitely. Carry on---not so sure--simply because it might be too heavy. Check the weight restricitons with the carrier you're flying with.

According to the web site TSA.gov looking at the prohibited items list you may check the balls, but they are not allowed in the passenger cabin.

Why don't you call the Airlines and ask them if you could bring one on. I think they would know more than anyone on here
