YES, its free but comes with spywares(warning). Have a spyware remover then your good 2 go. You can download anything but don't publish or steal copyrighted things.

Technically, the program is not illegal itself. The thing that is illegal is copyright infringement that occurs when you download media for free(without paying the artist).

no, but try itunes, but they're not free, well. your stuck. i say just use it anyway.
