1) Jicama is a juicy, crunchy root veg that has a bland, slightly sweet flavor, and is probably best peeled, sliced and eaten raw, dipped in dressing, or used in salads. It's kind of like a radish without the spicy flavor.
2) My favorite vegetable right now is yam. I cook them in the microwave, just like a potato, till they're soft, then I cut them open, fork the inside pulp a bit and add some butter. I top that off with a couple tablespoons of real maple syrup......yyyuuummm! I actually eat this as a dessert substitute, but it is still a veggie!

I don't know what a Jimca is but I do know what a Jicama is. " A large tuberous root vegetable with pale brown, thin skin and crisp white meat. Jicama resembles a large, brown turnup. The skin peels off easily to reveal white, potato like meat that has a clean, crisp bite and a mildly sweet flavor. It's peeled before using and is eaten raw and cooked."
You can find them in supermarkets and Mexican specialty stores.
You can store jicamas in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. wrap after cutting and only store in fridge for 1 week.
1/2 cup of raw jicama has 25 cal.
You can peel and eat raw (like carrot or potato sticks)
or
You can wash, trim, and peel; chop or cut into julienne strips, then cook covered, in a small amount of boiling salted water, for about 5 minutes or until tender.
or
you can steam slices for 5 minutes.
My favorite snack would either be a banana with peanut butter or Neutela on it or slices of apples with string chez. But I also really like celery sticks with peanut butter and steamed broccoli & coliflour with melted chez on top.

My favorite vegetable would be broccoli, steamed and served with melted cheese. Ooh, now I have a craving for it.
I don't exactly know how to explain what a jiCAMA is. But it's a vegetable/fruit that's white and sort of looks like a pear in the inside. It's brown on the outside, kind of like a gingerly color, but tastes very plain, yet slightly sweet for the first two seconds it reaches your tonuge. You can eat it raw, or with a salad. Its taste is refreshing. like you're eating water.

mmm Grapes for fruit & corn for vegtable && yeah im kinda undeniable in comparison 2 the different people who responded lol yet i cant think of or no stable vegtable different then that =] yet i admire 2 many end result

Did you mean Jicama??? If you did, you cut take the shell of and cut it up into chunks and squeeze some lemon or lime and some Mexican chile powder and salt. It's great!!!
My all time favorite is corn!! I put some mayonnaise, Mexican chile powder and queso fresco (Mexican cheese)..Yum!! Just had some today =D

My favorite vegetable is steamed broccoli topped with melted cream cheese and cheddar cheese and some Mrs. Dash seasoning. I love stir fried corn and potatoes with spicy Mexican seasonings, cheese, and sour cream just as well.

jicama, you can eat that with chili and lemon and salt, its so good.
i love broccoli.. beef and broccoli.. and the watermelon.
